Our Approach


Stay Fit Physical Therapy & Core Wellness provides a unique set of programs to help you recover from current health issues and to prevent a recurrence. We treat your mind, body, and spirit with a combination of one-on-one traditional physical therapy, fitness classes, therapeutic massage, personal training, walking/running clubs, and monthly community luncheon and Bible study (The Core).

A Christian-based organization, Stay Fit is wholly committed to helping you Get Fit and Stay Fit. You’ll benefit from valuable, comprehensive expertise, as our licensed physical therapists and licensed massage therapists thoughtfully guide you on your journey to better health.

Plus, at Stay Fit, you’ll be treated using a mechanical approach, in which our physical therapists evaluate the body as a whole, rather than isolate individual parts, in order to better address your health issues. Then you’ll learn a wealth of information about how to self-correct so that you ultimately have the knowledge and experience to fix misalignments, address postural imbalances and asymmetries, and manage any painful areas.

Stay Fit’s expert team consists of Physical Therapists, Licensed Massage Therapists, Certified Personal Trainers, as well as a talented team of office personnel. Our Founder


Diana Abu Jamra Sahakian, MS, MPT, founded Stay Fit Physical Therapy and Core
Wellness, Inc., in June 2006, and currently has more than 10 years of clinical
experience in treating orthopedic and sports injuries. Inspired by her father, a
plastic surgeon, Diana pursued medical studies and earned a Master of Physical
Therapy from Northwestern University Medical School and a Master of Science in
Counseling from Bob Jones University. She is an active member of the American
Physical Therapy Association, as well as the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.
She also participates in the mentoring program at Northwestern University Medical
School’s Physical Therapy program.
