Our Commitment to Keeping Patients and Team Members Safe
As the situation with Co-Vid-19 continues to evolve, Illinois is implementing a ‘shelter in place’ order for all non-essential activities. Outpatient rehabilitation is one of the essential healthcare services that has been permitted and encouraged to continue to operate to keep our patients healthy and out of the hospitals, emergency rooms and doctors’ offices. We want to take the opportunity to share more details about the comprehensive measures Stay Fit has implemented so we can be open to see patients. We are also implementing a secure telehealth option for patients who want to choose that method of care remotely.
We have a thermometer at our clinic and prior to receiving treatment, we will perform a temperate check using a no touch infrared thermometer. Additionally, every patient will be asked screening questions to determine if you have symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath. We will also ask if you have traveled to countries in the past 14 days that have a level 3 travel warning per the CDC or if you have been on a cruise. Last, we will ask if you have had close contact with a person confirmed to have the CoVid-19 virus. If you answer yes to any of the questions above, our team member will reschedule your visit.
The CDC has also identified certain higher risk populations. If you have any doubts about whether you should attend a scheduled visit, please call the clinic before arriving.
Limiting the Number of People in the Clinic
We are limiting the number of people in our clinic. Only essential team and family members or caregivers will be allowed to attend and they will be confined to waiting areas. We will ensure one therapist and one patient per area of treatment.
Protecting You in the Clinic
More frequent cleaning with CDC approved cleaning agents is being performed. We are keeping facilities sanitized. Our team members are practicing good hand hygiene and we are continuing to stock our facility with supplies to meet this expectation. We are also asking that our patients wash their hands upon arriving to their visits.
Physical Therapy Telehealth for Patients
Stay Fit will be offering Telehealth visit option for patients and clients. Our physical therapists will be able to connect with you via Apple Facetime or Zoom. We encourage our patients to request a telehealth visit. Go to our website www.stayfitpt.com or call us at 847-STAY FIT to find out more and request a telehealth appointment. Please note there are some telehealth restrictions that will be discussed with each patient at time of call.
