The Top 3 Reasons You’re Stuck in your Weight Loss Journey

I spend a lot of time with women who are exhausted, defeated, and frankly, stuck in their weight loss journey. One of the most common refrains I hear from women is: “I want help overcoming the plateau that I’m in.”

It’s okay. We’ve all been there at some point or another, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay there.

One of the first powerful steps to getting unstuck is being honest about where you are and what needs to change. Because the sooner you recognize you’re stuck, the sooner you can reach your goals.

Small caveat here: Sometimes we think we’re stuck because we’re only looking at one thing—the number on the scale! But there’s so much more to your weight loss journey than that. Here are a few other key factors to consider:

  • What are your energy levels like?

  • Are you active on a consistent basis?

  • What kind of thoughts are you having about yourself and your weight loss?

For example, for many years, I weighed over 200 pounds. I thought that number was my set weight and that I would NEVER weigh any less. The day that I finally dropped below 200 pounds, I could not believe it. I had thought of myself in a certain way for so long; all of my categories for myself were busted. After that, I realized that my mindset had been keeping me stuck for years!

In this week’s podcast, I’m going to break down the top three reasons that most women get stuck in their weight loss journeys, and I’m doing a deep dive on the hidden fix to get unstuck!

You’ll learn how to:

  • Ask for help when you need it instead of trying to figure out everything on your own. “Anonymity will get you nowhere, vulnerability will get you everywhere.”

  • Let your healthy habits guide you instead of solely the number on the scale

  • Walk by faith and let God renew your vision of who you truly are, and then run YOUR race—not someone else’s.

If you’re ready to go from stuck to unstoppable in your weight loss journey, this podcast is for you!
