Top 5 Reasons Women Give Up on Losing Weight and How To Avoid Them

Are you discouraged that your weight loss journey is taking too long?

Do you go through endless cycles of losing weight only to gain it back again?

Are you letting your past dictate what’s going to happen THIS TIME so that you’re paralyzed with fear?

If you’re ready to give up on losing weight, I'm here to tell you why that’s the worst thing you can do for your wellness, your health journey, and your long term weight loss. Even more, I want to give you solutions that will help you push through, especially when you feel like throwing in the towel.

Top 5 Reasons You Might Be Tempted to Give Up on Losing Weight

It’s completely normal to feel like you want to give up. You are often your own worst critic, and it’s hard to cast a vision of success for yourself when so many negative voices fill your mind. I talk to women all the time who are ready to give up, and they’re generally struggling with one of the following issues:

  1. Weight loss is taking too long.

  2. Unrealistic expectations of how much weight they’re going to lose and how fast.

  3. No support or community.

  4. Unexpected setbacks like injuries.

  5. Looking at weight loss as a temporary period of time instead of embracing change as a lifestyle.

Sustainable weight loss isn’t easy; you’re in a battle. But the good news is that you can’t have VICTORY without going to battle. Giving up during the battle actually isn’t an option. You’re either choosing to move towards improvement or you’re deciding to move towards regression. Giving up is NOT a neutral move.
